Thế nào là hẹp bao quy đầu?

Theo bác sĩ Phước, dương vật có phần đầu gọi là quy đầu, phần da che cho phần quy đầu gọi là da quy đầu. Nam giới khi sinh ra đã có da quy đầu. Bác sĩ chỉ định cắt bao quy đầu trong trường hợp bao quy đầu bị chít hẹp, tức là tình trạng không thể tuột bao quy đầu ra hoặc bị thắt nghẽn bao quy đầu, viêm nhiễm tái phát nhiều lần.

Ở trẻ sơ sinh, bao quy đầu che hoàn toàn quy đầu, không tuột lên được thì có phải là hẹp bao quy đầu?

Đa phần trẻ sơ sinh có tình trạng dính da quy đầu sinh lý, do đó lúc này chưa thể tuột được bao quy đầu cho trẻ. Sau 3-4 năm hoặc trong thời gian đến tuổi trưởng thành, phần da quy đầu này sẽ tự nhiên tách khỏi quy đầu. Cắt da bao quy đầu có nguy cơ lây nhiễm bệnh?

Cắt da quy đầu là một thủ thuật, cần đảm bảo các điều kiện như phòng mổ sạch sẽ, vô trùng, phẫu thuật viên cần được đào tạo. Đối với trẻ nhỏ dưới 12 tuổi cần phải được gây mê khi thực hiện thủ thuật nên phải tiến hành trong khu phẫu thuật. Trong quá trình cắt da quy đầu và hậu phẫu, vết thương là một cửa ngõ để các tác nhân gây bệnh như vi khuẩn, siêu vi xâm nhập nên các lây nhiễm có thể xảy ra trong thời gian này. Công dụng của da quy đầu là gì?

Thật ra da quy đầu không “thừa”. Da quy đầu có một số chức năng quan trọng như giúp che chở, bảo vệ cho quy đầu vốn là phần khá nhạy cảm khỏi những “va chạm” trong lúc sinh hoạt thường ngày, tránh cho nam giới có cảm giác khó chịu. Bao quy đầu còn là vật liệu tự thân rất quý trong trường hợp nam giới cần ghép da, hoặc tạo hình niệu đạo…

Cần giữ vệ sinh cho trẻ như thế nào nếu không cắt da quy đầu?

Khi trẻ còn nhỏ, phụ huynh có thể giúp trẻ vệ sinh vùng quy đầu, khi tắm cần kéo và rửa nhẹ nhàng vùng da nhạy cảm này. Khi trẻ có thể tự chăm sóc, người lớn hướng dẫn bé rửa bằng nước sạch sau khi đi tiểu, khi tắm cần kéo da quy đầu để rửa với xà bông, rửa lại bằng nước sạch và lau khô, sau đó nhẹ nhàng kéo da quy đầu trở lại che chở cho quy đầu. Đến khi trẻ dậy thì, có hoạt động sinh dục thì các tuyến mồ hôi, tuyến bã sẽ tăng tiết nên cần rửa thường xuyên hơn để tránh ứ đọng nước tiểu và các chất tiết.

Bác sĩ Phước lưu ý, rất hiếm trẻ nhỏ cần cắt do hẹp da quy đầu. Phụ huynh nên kiên nhẫn chăm sóc cho trẻ và hướng dẫn trẻ tự chăm sóc về sau thay vì cố gắng tuột da quy đầu một cách thô bạo. Khi da quy đầu hẹp rõ hoặc viêm nhiễm tái phát nhiều lần, phụ huynh đưa trẻ đến các cơ sở y tế có uy tín để được tư vấn và thực hiện thủ thuật nếu cần thiết. Vệ sinh thường xuyên vùng da quy đầu rất cần thiết để tránh viêm nhiễm, nhất là khi trẻ bước vào lứa tuổi có các hoạt động sinh dục.
